About

I have studied Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at Dresden University of Technology in Germany. Since my graduation in 2006, I have been working at the TU Dresden at the Group for Information Management. My PhD Thesis is concerned with the question "How can the initiation of research collaborations be supported with ICT?". As a part of my thesis I examine how do researchers use the internet for profiling. I will also study the search processes of researchers, when gathering information about other researchers online. To support the search for potential partners situation, I design and evaluate an ePortfolio for researchers. This ePortfolio aggregates the information that researchers provide among themselves in the internet. With my efforts, I wish to create new opportunities for research collaboration and also support the Open Research ideal.
